1.1 What is the difference between the liquid and powdered cultures?

We offer vegan camembert and blue cheese cultures in two forms, powder and liquid.

The most simple difference is that, powder cultures can be frozen more easily than liquid and by doing so, it will keep for up to one year.. The liquid should not be frozen and thawed multiple times as it destroys the spores.

The other difference is flavour, they taste slightly different. But depending on the recipe the flavour can be more or less noticeable.

And finally the liquid mould will grow more efficiently than the powder version.
